Complete & Partial Dentures

Well-fitting removable teeth — and the option to lock them onto implants

You may need this if…

  • You are missing all or most of the teeth in one jaw
  • Your existing denture is loose, rocks or rubs
  • You avoid certain foods because you cannot chew them
  • Your cheeks have sunken in since losing your teeth
  • Your denture is cracked or a tooth has come off it

A denture replaces missing teeth with a removable plate. Complete dentures replace a whole arch; partial dentures clip onto the remaining natural teeth to fill several gaps. Made and fitted properly, a denture restores chewing, supports the lips and cheeks, and lets you speak normally again.

The difference between a denture people wear and a denture that lives in a drawer is almost entirely in the impressions and the try-in stage. We take our time over both, and we let you see and approve the teeth at the try-in before the denture is finished.

Implant-supported dentures

If your lower denture has never stayed in place — a very common complaint, because the lower jaw offers much less surface to grip — two or four implants can be placed to clip the denture onto. It still comes out for cleaning, but it no longer moves while you eat. For many long-term denture wearers this is the single biggest improvement available to them.

Complete & Partial Dentures — common questions

Two to four weeks is typical. Speech and chewing feel odd at first; starting with soft food and reading aloud at home speeds it up considerably.
